During an early morning swim, a vendor hawking the prior evening's catch from the back of his truck called out the name of a fish with which I was unfamiliar. After enquiring, our host Nikos laughed and told us they were quite good. He also offered to have some bought and prepared an excellent dinner. there are cultural as well as natural aspects to this destination which Nikos, a native of the region, proves an affable ambassador. Unlike the blond stretches of beach to the north, a stony breakwater yeilds to a sandy footing.This is a vacation in the true sense of clearing your head.
